Enrolment Process

PROCESS FOR ENROLMENT

Visit the school to have a look around and meet with the principal informally (Optional)
Fill in and send the enrolment form to the school (include a pastors reference if it is a preferential enrolment)
Enrolment is processed and acknowledgement sent.
One of the school’s management team will then contact you to arrange a formal interview where the student(s) are asked to accompany the parents / caregivers.
The proprietors and management team then consider the application and confirm the outcome.
If the application is successful details are given as to starting date, uniform requirements and any other relevant information and you are supplied with the schools information “Home Pack”.
In the case of New Entrants you would be contacted by the teacher Wendy Rogers to make arrangements for pre-visits.

PREFERENCIAL AND NON-PREFERENCIAL STUDENTS

As part of the Integration agreement between the Proprietors and the Ministry of Education the school can accept up to 10 % non-preferential students.

Preferential Students — Children from families who are committed Christians, committed to Christian education and who regularly attend a Christian congregation or they themselves are believers.

Non-Preferential Students — Children from families who wish to benefit from a Christian values based education at Rangoria New Life School but who do not meet the preferential criteria.

BUSES

Transport subsidies are available for pupils outside the Rangiora area. The school office can advise you on eligibility and bus routes.

Transport subsidies for students who are eligible can also be paid directly to parents who choose to transport their own children to school, rather than use the bus service.

HOURS

School Hours are from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm with lunch break from 12:30 to 1:25 pm (Primary) and 12:40 to 1:25 pm (Secondary). Students should not be at school before 8:30 or after 3:30 without permission as there is no supervision outside these hours.
