Student Leadership
Leadership Team
Each year a leadership team is chosen that normally includes a head and deputy head boy and girl, heads of sport and worship leader. There is a careful process that seeks to choose these students in recognition of their Christian character and leadership aptitude. They take an active part in such areas as assemblies and school wide events.
School Council
The school has an active school council made up of representatives from each level Years 6 - 13. This group under the guidance of the Head of Secondary, is responsible for liaising between form classes and the group on matters of student interest, concerns and suggestions, organising special events and making representation to the staff and Board on student matters.
House Groups
The School is organised into four Houses, each of which is led by two senior (Secondary) and two junior (Primary) students. Houses meet for a wide variety of activities and are a vital component behind sporting and Cultural events within the school. Each house is organised by four teachers.
Stripes / Prizegiving
The school has a system that recognises students by way of stripes; usually in the form of a metal badge worn on the lapel of the blazer or polar fleece jacket. These are given for:
- Service to the school e.g. Council, Librarians
- Leadership Roles e.g. Head Girl, Red House Captain
- Sport and Culture involvement and achievement e.g. Netball Rep, Debating Team
At the end of the Year we recognize achievement by way of a school prizegiving evening, a compulsory community event for all families of the school.
